The multitudes who wait in eager anticipation for the newest series from comic Chris Lilley are breathing a bit heavier after the release of the first trailer from Angry Boys.
Angry Boys is big. Very, very big. Produced in conjunction with HBO in the US and sold to the BBC in the UK Chris Lilley has hit the big time. The 12 part series was filmed in over seven months, in three countries, took an entire year to edit and has nearly 100 main roles. This is big.
Lilley, is well known for his two ABC shows We Can Be Heroes and Summer Heights High brings his character based acting to hysterical new heights with some old characters, Daniel and Nathan Sims from We Can Be Heroes, and a new one.
Meet Jen Okazaki, a Japanese mother of three and domestic dictator who rules over her son Tim’s life with an iron grip.
With broadcasters in the UK, US and Australia, Angry Boys will be shown across the world within weeks of it’s Australian premiere. And with 89 main roles, over 1000 extras and shot in 70 locations worldwide, it promises a lot.
