Melbourne's much-loved Cool Sounds will release transformative new album Like That in one week's time, on Friday October 7.
Today they announce album tour dates in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra for November and December, with more shows in other parts of the country to be announced shortly. Catch Cool Sounds in Melbourne on December 3 at Night Cat, where they’ll be playing with Snowy Band and Eggy.

Cool Sounds’ usual jangle-pop sparkle has been supercharged by a disco-glam stomp on Like That, making for their most immediate record yet. Like That finds a bright pop-funk sweet spot between Ian Dury & the Blockheads, Hot Chip and 80s Francois K mixes.
The album’s singles Hello, Alright, You Got That?, 6 Or 7 More and title track Like That have had airplay on BBC 6 Music, and praise from the Guardian (UK), Evening Standard (UK), Radio France, NME Australia, Brooklyn Vegan (US), Raven Sings the Blues (US) and more.

Cool Sounds’ pop polymath Dainis Lacey plays almost everything on the record, with just a little help from his friends. Live though, the band is a six headed beast capable of fulfilling all the funky promise of the new album.
