Organiser Caroline Ashford launched The Gin Queen in December 2013 to share her enthusiasm for gin and those who make it. She has been instrumental in putting Australian gin on the global map and has been recognised for her contributions to the gin community by being nominated for the 2023 Spirits Communicator Trophy by IWSC (International Wine & Spirit Competition, UK) which will be announced in late September.
Returning for 2022 after a brief hiatus, this celebration of gin has been a firm favourite with gin enthusiasts in London, Hamburg and Melbourne since it began eight years ago, with its unique meet-the-maker opportunity with the brands they know and love. Junipalooza celebrates the art of gin by giving gin lovers the chance to meet the distillers gaining expert insight into the process.
There will be 50 different Australian and international craft distillers sharing well over a hundred different gins which can be tasted both neat and with tonic.
Some of the well-known distillers include international favourites like Hernö (Sweden) and Hapusa (India), as well as Aussie legends including Four Pillars, Archie Rose Distilling Co, Never Never, Poor Toms, and Little Juniper Distilling.
