Foo Fighters announce second Melbourne show at AAMI Park

Foo Fighters are coming to Australia for a national tour and they'll be playing two massive shows at AAMI Park due to overwhelming demand.

The additional second show, added today, will make three Foo Fighters gigs in Victoria this year after the international powerhouses rocked Geelong. Just last Friday, Foo Fighters performed to an adoring crowd of 30,000 as part of ALWAYS LIVE, with reviews unanimously declaring the show a triumph.

Our reviewer described it like this: “A wonderful tribute capped off with a perforce of the crowd favourite Everlong. Finally, after the band had given every ounce of themselves, drenched in sweat and waterlogged from the steady stream of rain all night, the Fooies bid farewell to the crowd, having promised a return in November. Leaving the stage as a brilliant fireworks display took over the skies of Kardinia park, capping off what can only be described as a truly EPIC night.”

Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear and Rami Jaffee will be playing in Melbourne on Sunday December 4 and Tuesday December 6.

Following huge demand during pre-sale, a second and final Foo Fighters concert at AAMI Park has been added for Tuesday 6 December 2022. Their Geelong gig sold out within a matter of seconds. Pre-sale tickets for the original Melbourne date were exhausted in less than an hour.

Tickets for the original AAMI Park date on December 4 and the new show on December 6 will be available from 2pm local time this Thursday 10 March.

Special guests for the December 6 show will be The Chats and Teenage Joans. The Chats have toured with heavyweights Queens Of The Stone Age and Cosmic Psychos, selling out shows in AU, New Zealand, England, Scotland, and Europe.

While Adelaide two-piece Teenage Joans took out the triple j unearthed high crown in 2020, and have since shared stages with acts such as Violent Soho, Ruby Fields, Clowns, Amy Shark and more.
