Now, as we weather another lengthy lockdown, The RMH is back with a new music and wellbeing podcast, Scrub Sessions.

Hosted by Head of Music Therapy and Founder of The RMH Scrub Choir, Dr Emma O’Brien OAM, the podcast will welcome special guests for interviews exploring their inspirations, personal tips for wellbeing, high and lows, and music, as well as unplugged sessions.
Episode one sees Dr O’Brien joined by Sadako Pointer of the ’80s hit group, The Pointer Sisters, to discuss her journey in the music industry, health, and family values, followed by an exclusive acoustic performance of her new single, ‘Happiness’.
Scrub Sessions launches today, with new episodes dropping every second Thursday. Season one will comprise eight, 20 minute episodes, featuring a range of emerging and established artists.
“Scrub Sessions aim to lift the spirits of our staff, patients and community. Its been a long difficult road for us all, and it is at these times, more than ever, that we need to stay connected and celebrate small moments of joy, working together to face the multiple health, physical, mental and emotional challenges brought on by the pandemic – Scrub Sessions aim to keep the hope alive,” says Dr O’Brien.
