Street Art Mural Facilitator At Banyule City Council

A rare opportunity to work in the graffiti art space you will have the following key outcomes in this role:

-Mentor artistic skill development of participants through weekly workshops and active participation in murals
-Role model positive behaviour and act as a mentor for legal pathways within the graffiti art community
-Encourage and assist participants to navigate through a design process from drafts to the final product
-Be approachable and supportive of the participants and their individual skill levels
-To role model respectful, positive and appropriate behaviours around respectful relationships and anti-discrimination

As our new Street Art Mural Facilitator you will have:

-A sound understanding of the street art community coupled with maturity and the ability to relate to others and/or tertiary qualification in Art/Graphics or Human Services
-Experience or knowledge in working with young people and the issues they may face
-Some knowledge of professional conduct required of youth workers
-Knowledge of the Banyule area and associated Northern suburbs
-Strong communication and crisis/conflict resolution skills
-Current drivers licence
-A willingness to undertake police and working with children checks
