The band name is Los Dominados. Spanish for the ‘dominated ones’. We’ve thought of changing it ’cause no-one can pronounce it, but what the heck. I yell a bit and make lists.
Bearing the terrible clichéd nature of this question, what do you reckon people will say you sound like?
Mostly people say Sonic Youth or Pixies. That ain’t bad!
What do you love about making music?
Loading music gear into the car is always a pleasure. I draw the line at hardware (drums)!
What do you hate about the music industry?
The fleeting, fickleness of fashion – what’s in and what’s not.
If you could travel back in time and show one of your musical heroes your stuff, who would it be and why?
I’d travel back to meet Johnny Thunders. I don’t know if I’d be brave enough to play him one of my songs, but I’d love to just sit around and listen to him play.
If you could assassinate one person or band from popular music, who would it and why?
That’s a hard one. Possibly The Wiggles for the harm they could be inflicting upon our young.
What can a punter expect from your live show?
Loud Noise, heckling, broken strings, drum kit smashing, that kind of thing.
What’ve you got to sell CD-wise?
Three albums, two singles.
When’s the gig and with who?
The gig is at The Retreat Hotel with River of Snakes from 10pm onwards on Saturday November 5.
