Phase two of Dangerous Goods XXL Festival has started trickling out, and 6EJOU and Niotech are first through the gate.
They land on a phase one bill topped by Boris Brejcha, whose slot is billed as an extended retirement set. Claptone, Darude, Holy Priest, Neelix, Sub Zero Project and Anderex fill out the top line. Below them sits a long undercard that includes Havana Brown, Miss Jade, Ish K, Short Round, Samuel Moriero, Dekel and Nik Kastel. Dangerous Goods XXL Festival takes over Melbourne Showgrounds in Ascot Vale on 23 January, with gates at midday and the music wrapping at 10pm.
Yes, that Darude. Anyone who spent the 2000s hearing Sandstorm at every under-18 disco and school formal now gets to hear it in a paddock in Ascot Vale, presumably at a higher volume.

Organisers are splitting the day across multiple European-style stages covering techno, tech house, melodic, hardstyle, psytrance, hard groove and trance. That spread explains the booking. Neelix pulls the psytrance crowd, Sub Zero Project holds down hardstyle, and Brejcha’s masked high-tech minimal anchors the melodic end. Expect plenty of people sprinting between stages.
Tickets have moved quickly. Early access, presale and third release are gone, and the fourth release is on sale now. Groups buying five tickets get a sixth free, VIP included, and Afterpay and Zip are both available at checkout.
This is the promoter’s second run at the Showgrounds in 2026, following a June edition at the same site. Onsite parking costs $25 per car, with entry via Gate 7 on Leonards Crescent. Public transport is the smarter call after 10 hours of dancing.
More phase two names are still to come, so the lineup isn’t finished growing.
