65daysofstatic Debut Australian Tour

Formed in 2001 in Sheffield, 65daysofstatic quickly established themselves as one of the most influential post-rock exponents in the UK. Whilst their early EPs showed a band dabbling in electronica and dance-rock, the band was equally at home playing epic instrumentals and math-rock. The success of their 2004 debut LP The Fall Of Math and the follow up One Time For All Time earned the band a personal invitation to support The Cure on their 2007/08 arena tour around the world. Flowing into 2009, the band played to hundreds of thousands of people across the US, UK, Europe and Asia.

It’s the band’s live show however, that has made them one of the most popular instrumental touring acts in the world. Where their records show their ornate instrumentation and experimental sound manipulations, their live show is a rock and roll rave that has seen them share stages with the likes of Metallica and play huge festivals such as Sonisphere and Summersonic, as well as massive European dance parties.

The tour and releases will be followed by the band’s newest studio album, due in mid-2013.
