So then, what’s the band name and what do you ‘do’in the band?
We are Postblue. I play guitar and stress about everything band related.
What do you reckon people will say you sound like?
We consider ourselves to be a rock band. I think we’ve had every possible prefix tacked onto that, but it doesn’t really bother us. It’s loud guitars and sweet melodies you can and should dance to.
What do you love about making music?
Everything except being a broke creative. The Australian music community is a beautiful and unique one and we’re lucky to be a part of it.
What do you hate about the music industry?
Simple answer: it’s a business, and the performers aren’t the ones benefiting from their hard work. It’s a tough industry and music is more accessible and disposable than ever before.
If you could travel back in time and show one of your musical heroes your stuff, who would it be and why?
None of them probably. I would chill hard with Bowie or Sabbath in their day (or almost any dad rock band), but I get nervous showing friends our tunes, so hypothetically speaking I get out of the time machine and just have a panic attack.
If you could assassinate one person or band from popular music, who would it and why?
Not condoning or encouraging violence towards anyone, but if Chris Brown disappeared would anybody be super bummed?
