What do you love about making music?
The natural high sparked from the unity of ideas and expression.
What do you hate about the music industry?
The fact that it churns out soul-less auto tune rubbish and then shovels it into the ears of the masses, while the true artisans of music are struggling to feed themselves as there is a minimal market for high calibre music.
If you could travel back in time and show one of your musical heroes your stuff, who would it be and why?
Hendrix, so I could blow his luscious mind.
If you could assassinate one person or band from popular music, who would it and why?
Nickelback. Because they are sonic terrorists.
What can a punter expect from your live show?
The feeling of melting pop rocks in their mind.
What’ve you got to sell CD-wise?
We’ve just released our debut single Lace Skull which is available as a free download from our website hiatuskaiyote.com. We’re also currently working on an EP to be released early next year.
When’s the gig and with who
Tuesday nights at The Evelyn Hotel for an October and November residency. There’ll be a wide plethora of supports and live beat battles mixing a song chosen by the audience every week.
