60 Second With… The Sons Of Mod

sonsofmod.jpg

Who are you, and what do you do in the band?

My name is Andrew McCulloch and I write the songs, play lead guitar, do the singing, the online promo, and anything else that is needed to spread the sounds of The Sons of Mod far and wide.

If your music was going to be used as a soundtrack to a film, who would you want directing that film?

In no particular order, Alfred Hitchcock, Russ Meyer, Werner Herzog, Richard Lester, Stanley Kubrick and Roger Vadim because they are all incredible directors with true vision.

Do you have any other hidden talents?

All of my talents are utterly on display if you come and watch us play live or listen to our album.

Where can we buy/listen to your music?

You can hear us on our Facebook page if you are curious and as soon as you realise how amazing we are you can buy our debut album We Baptize You In The Name Of MOD from the Method Records and Music website. All original songs, been described in the fortnight it has been out as, “A lost great album from the ‘60s,” and “No small task, but they nailed it by creating a modern album with a few obvious ’60s influences while remaining totally unique and original,” and “They are coming up with sounds that haven’t been heard since the ‘60s yet it sounds fresh and original.”

THE SONS OF MOD are launching their album on Saturday December 12 at Whole Lotta Love, with Little Murders plus Dusty Stylus and C.C. Brown spinning mod and Hammond vinyl in between sets.
