60 Second With… Klone

Hello! Who are we speaking with and what do you do in Klone?

Hi, this is Guillaume, guitarist and principal composer for Klone.

You’ll be travelling to Australia, all the way from France, for a run of shows with Voyager. What should we expect from your live set?

We’re very excited to come and play in Australia. Klone will play songs from our last three albums, Black Days, The Dreamer’s Hideaway and Here Comes The Sun. Klone’s music has the particularity of allowing the spirit to travel. On stage, the band is full of energy, just let the music catch you.

You released your first album Duplicate way back in 2003. How has you music developed over the years?

Klone began to play metal with rock influences. Over the years the music becomes more and more atmospheric with clean vocals, and more and more progressive. We just want to play good music.

Can you tell us a little about your most recent release Here Comes The Sun?

We really worked hard on this album – it was a real challenge for us to not repeat what we did on our previous albums. This new album is emotionally intense and this music was written to touch the people in their hearts – a sort of “call to meditation”.” With Here Comes The Sun, the band’s songwriting has reached the next level.

What is unique about France’s live music scene?
We have really good bands, like Gojira , Trepalium , Hacride , Lizzard and Hypno5e. The fact is that all these bands are really passionate about the music and they dedicate their life to that. You can feel it on the stage. All of them are true and intense.

KLONE will be supporting Voyager at The Evelyn on Friday May 29.
