Define your genre in five words or less:
Spacey, indie, dream rock.
How long have you been gigging and writing?
Writing and gigging for three years and boy, are our arms tired.
What has been your favourite gig you’ve played to date?
Definitely our EP launch at The Evelyn. We played to a packed house. Plus it was Annthoni’s birthday. We had a tequila cake. No Mockingbyrds.
What inspires or has influenced your music the most?
Seeing small bands grow from doing pub gigs to stadium shows, like Cloud Control or The Preatures.
What do you think a band has to do these days to succeed?
Some bands jump out of planes for publicity, but I’m not sure that’s something we wanna do. Good old-fashioned hard work is the key.
Do you have any record releases to date? What? Where can I get it?
Our latest EP is up on iTunes and Bandcamp. Just search for our name.
Why should everyone come and see your band?
We’ll transport your minds and bodies to another place. Plus we’re all really good looking. Except for Adriaan. Seriously, Facebook keep flagging photos of him.
When are you playing live/releasing your album/EP/single/etc?
We’re touring our EP at the moment and testing new material for our album later this year. Each gig has new material.
DIAMONDS OF NEPTUNE are hitting up The Workers Club on Saturday April 4.
