"From floods to fires; we can't seem to catch a break."

Citing a fire eight kilometres from the site as the cause of the festival’s cancellation, the four-day music and arts festival on Dja Dja Wurrung Country will not go ahead this weekend. The festival was set to feature live sets and performances from the likes of Squid Nebula, Finding Figaro, Fluxx Club, Sleep D and more Naarm-based musicians.

“From floods to fires; we can’t seem to catch a break,” 2 Degrees explained in a statement posted to their Instagram.

“We are absolutely devastated to say we have tried our very best to keep pushing through Mother Nature by our event this weekend will now be cancelled.

“We have had constant consultation with the CFA, emergency services and the council but we have been forced to cancel due to the safety of all patrons. An active fire 8kms away from our site, while contained, has been deemed too much of a risk due to weather conditions over the weekend. 30+ degrees, high winds and excessive fuel loads on surrounding properties.

“We thank you all for your continuous support. Our very small team has put everything we had into delivering what we hoped would be our vision coming to life this weekend.”
