The inspiration for this quirky record attempt came to Josh while watching the 1967 prison drama film, Cool Hand Luke. In the movie, the lead character, played by Paul Newman, consumes 50 hard-boiled eggs in one sitting. Josh, feeling confident in his abilities, believed he could surpass that number by a significant margin.
Months of preparation and anticipation led up to the monumental day when Josh sat down to break the record. With determination in his eyes and a stack of hard-boiled eggs before him, he embarked on the task. In the end, Josh emerged as a world record holder, triumphantly surpassing the previous mark.
Reflecting on the experience, Josh recounted the aftermath of the record attempt, saying, “The day after filming, we flew to Brissy and the smell on the luxury Virgin aircraft was horrendous.” Despite the unusual circumstances, the band members celebrated their achievement with a mix of pride and laughter.
