Kingston City Hall
Moorabbin’s iconic town hall, Kingston City Hall (KCH), is a large and imposing example of 60s style architecture with its famous clocktower offering a defining emblem for the venue.
KCH is better known by live music fans as the Moorabbin Town Hall, remembered for showcasing infamous Australian acts such as AC/DC as early as 1976 and more recently Parkway Drive in 2009.
The multi-purpose venue has four rooms for hire. It’s the second floor that boasts the impressive Grand Hall (1000 pax) and Baby Grand (300) ideal for live music gigs with state-of-the-art sound, lighting and visual systems, large stage, polished floor boards and dance floor. Your staffing needs can be accommodated; with lighting and sound technicians, marketing and graphic design services, production managers, and stage and event managers available upon request (at additional cost). The ground floor houses the Kingston Arts Box Office handling enquiries for all events and offering a professional full box office service or bulk printing of tickets for your event.
The Kingston City Hall is located conveniently for those travelling by car, train or bus (with Moorabbin Station one-minute walk from the venue) and car parking available in and around the venue.
The venue sits on the major intersection of South Road and Nepean Hwy in Moorabbin, with the four-storey building visible to over 115,000 commuters per day. As well as attracting audiences from Kingston, with its population of 135,000 people, KCH is perfectly located to draw audiences from other nearby municipalities including Bayside, Glen Eira, Monash and Greater Dandenong.
