Sleater-Kinney Announce Melbourne 2016 Headline Show
Following their announcement on next year's Golden Plains, Sleater-Kinney have announced their first Australian headline show will be in Melbourne.
After putting out seven albums in 10 years, the trio went on an indefinite hiatus in 2006.
Then almost a decade later, guitarists/vocalists Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein, and drummer Janet Weiss got back together, releasing No Cities To Love in January of this year.
The last time Sleater-Kinney graced Australian stages was for the Big Day Out in 2006.
Update: a second show has been announced.
Sleater-Kinney will take over The Croxton on Wednesday March 9 and Thursday March 10. Tickets go on sale Friday October 16 through the venue.
