Celebrating a diverse music community, the program ranges from gypsy jazz to rock with everything in between. The Darebin Music Feast sees community music groups perform in local halls and much-loved Australian artists play some of Melbourne’s most prestigious live music venues.

Highlights include Hello Sunday, a day-long takeover of Northcote Town Hall on Sunday October 25 featuring artists including Public Opinion Afro Orchestra, Emma Donovan and The Putbacks, Melbourne Mass Gospel Choir with special guest Kylie Auldist, The Furbelows, Hello Satellites, Scrimshaw Four, Melbourne Ukulele Kollective and The UFO with Uke4Kids plus special guest Jen Cloher, The Northcote Campfire, Gamalan DanAnda, Dan Flynn, Patches, Darebin Songwriters’ Guild, Sonic Interventions and more.

Elsewhere, The Local Venues program includes more than 75 shows, with Pony Face playing Springsteen’s Nebraska, Kavisha Mazzella and Andy White alongside Lounge Leopards: Sugar Fed Leopards. Capping it off is the return of the annual Songwriters’ Award and Shop Talk, back for a series of hands on workshops and conferences, including our very own Tyson Wray talking about writing in the music industry, and Ur Boy Bangs talking about social media.
