BDO Melbourne sells out and announces online ticket ballots.
50,000 is a lot of people and a lot of tickets to be snaffled up this morning, as a record rush saw Melbourne’s Big Day Out for 2011 sell rather like hot cakes.
It’s got a lot to do with the huge lineup including Rammstein, Tool, Iggy And The Stooges, M.I.A., Grinderman, Lupe Fiasco, Crystal Castles, Ratatat and more.
There is hope for those who missed out – BDO have announced that 3000 tickets will be made available as part of an online ticket ballot via their website, bigdayout.com.
Each week 300 tickets for the Melbourne BDO will become available on the website via a randomly drawn ballot, with a limit of two tickets per customer. You can register for the ballot on Thursday October 14.
The Melbourne Big Day Out happens at Melbourne Flemington Racecourse on Sunday January 30.
