Coburg Night Market Q&A: Grace Cafe

Hey there! Who are we speaking with and what’ll you be serving up at 2015’s Coburg Night Market?

My name is Abby Jacobson, I am from Grace Cafe in Fitzroy. We are serving delicious coffee and cakes. We bake all of our cakes in house and we have a large range of flavours and combinations that allow for many dietary requirements and taste buds. We have tried our hardest to not just make old favourites but new ones too.

How long have you been in the business?

Grace has recently turned three but the coffee and cake caravan which we are sharing with the world is only a few months old.

What makes your product unique?

Our product is unique because it is all handmade, some of the recipes were created by Jules, the owner of Grace Cafe, so you can actually only get those cakes at Grace.

For those of us who are dirt poor, how much will it set us back?

We wish to make our treats accessible for everyone, so a coffee and a cake will cost you less than $10.

If you were trapped on a desert island and had to eat one item from your menu for eternity, what would you pick?

If I had to eat one thing off our menu, it would be the vegan chocolate & zucchini cake. This is a recipe created by Jules. It is a delicious chocolate cake and the zucchini makes it super moist and scrumptious.

What makes the Coburg Night Market a cool place to try a variety of food?

The atmosphere of the Coburg Night Market makes it a cool place to try a variety of food. There is such a buzz about the place and such a great range of food stalls, we are so glad to be a part of it!

GRACE CAFÉ can be found at the Coburg Night Market, held every Friday in Bridges Reserve, Coburg until Friday December 18.
