On today’s show, host Mike Brown speaks with sketch duo Louise Joy McCrae and Nicolette Minster – aka Girls Uninterrupted. Girls Uninterrupted are Good Value is the name of their festival show, and it is on tonight through to Sunday April 21 at the Portland Hotel – 6pm Tuesday through Saturday, 5pm Sunday. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster.

REVIEW WRAP: The reviews have kept rolling in over the last few days, with many stars awarded as shows stage their media nights. Our friends at Beat have given the thumbs up to Aamer Rahman and TripodThe Herald Sun has awarded four and a half star reviews to Nikki Britton and Circus Horrificus; with four star reviews going to Dave CallanWatsonLuke HeggieThe World’s Problems Solved, and you guessed it – Ali McGregor’s Late Night Variety-Nite Nite. Over at The Age, four and a half stars have been given to Lucy Hopkins, with four stars given to David Quirk and Greg Fleet.

– Also over The Age is a series of videos featuring Funny Tonne contestant and Beat writer Nick Taras. Nick is aiming to see 150 shows during the festival, and is recording short video reviews of every single show he sees. – Cult podcast Something for the Drive Home has announced the recording of a live episode. The podcast hosted by Melbourne comics Bart Freebairn and Nick Cody is known for it’s low brow humour and love of recording in interesting locations. The two will be at Five Boroughs Bar on Hardware Lane this Sunday night from 8.30pm, get your tickets from TryBooking. Nick Cody appears in Inappropriate, 8.30pm tonight at Tony Starr’s Kitten Club, and Bart Freebairn appears in The Age of Wonder, 9.30om tonight at Spleen.

– The Tuxedo Cat is offering a special Tuxedo Cat passport during the Comedy Festival. Listing the full set of shows on at the inner city venue, getting the passport stamped at TuxCat shows will also allow you to take advantage of the full set of benefits the venue offers. The Tuxedo Cat is located on 17 – 23 Wills Street in the CBD, right near Flagstaff station.

– Variety show Girls Night has announced two Same Love specials this week featuring gay and lesbian performers. Tonight, Girls Night will feature Geraldine HickeyAbigoliah Schamaun, Lori Bell, and Joel Creasey; and tomorrow night will feature Lori Bell, DeAnne SmithNath Valvo, and Geraldine Hickey  The show starts at 6.30pm at the Hairy Little Sister. Tickets from Giggletix and at the venue.

– Also on tonight are two double-ups of Comedy Pick N Mix at Three Degrees. The 6pm show will feature yesterday’s MICF Daily guests Dilruk Jayasingha and Adam Francis, as well as Gavin Baskerville and Lachie Clarke. At 7.15pm, you’ll be able to see Paco ErhardRyan CoffeyJacques Barrett, and Toby Halligan. Tickets on sale from TryBooking and at the door.

– LATE NIGHTS: Comedy Up Late returns to the Festival Club this evening. Hosted by Lawrence Mooney, the proceedings will be taped for an ABC2 television series. Tonight will feature Mel Buttle, Dave Callan, DeAnne Smith, Asher Treleaven, Anne Edmonds, Matt Okine, Tina Del Twist and Pete Holmes. After the comedy stay up with music from DJs SugaGlaze and SugaCain. Comedy Up Late starts 11.15pm tonight, tickets at the door. Also up late is another edition of The After Party returns to the Exford Hotel at 10.30pm, the Heaps Good SA Showcase at 11.30pm at Hairy Little Sista, and if you were lucky enough to get a ticket – Daniel Kitson works out his Work in Progress, 11pm at the Tuxedo Cat.
