Today on the show, busy man Stuart Daulman joins us to talk about everything he is involved in this festival. Stu’s solo show, Stuart Daulman Is An Absolute Credit can be seen Tuesday through Saturday at 9.45pm at the Forum, 8.45pm on Sunday. Stuart is also part of the Fancy Boy Variety Show – Friday and Saturday, 11pm at the Victoria Hotel. And the sketch group Stuart is apart of – Wizard Sandwiches, is on tonight and tomorrow night at 9.30pm, 8.30pm Sunday at ACMI.

In today’s MICF Daily News Update:

SPECIAL EVENT: triple j’s Good Az Friday returns to the Melbourne Town Hall today. The show will feature comedy from Paul FootUrzila CarlsonAlex EdelmanNazeem HussainDemi LardnerNick Cody and Katherine Ryan with special guest Father Bob, the annual joke-a-thon, and a live Like A Version with Vance Joy. It’s totally free as well. Doors open at 11.30am for a 12 noon start, but if you can’t be there in person, listen live on triple j.

ONE-OFF: For the first and only time this festival, the African American and Asian Stand-Up Comedy Tour comes to MICF. See all your favourites – Donte D1, D-Chill, Mr Alabama, Arnie Pie, and Thao live tonight. 7.30pm and 9.30pm at the Village Roadshow Theatrette at the State Library.

GOOD FRIDAY SPECIALS: Two Good Friday afternoon specials today at the Imperial Hotel. See a live taping of The Shelf podcast at 3pm, then stick around for Michael Chamberlin stand-up show, Thoughts at 4pm.

CLOSINGAndy Matthews show Themes closes tonight – 8.30pm at the Forum.

FRIDAY ONLY: Opening at 8.30pm tonight is Tym Jeffery and his show A Diabetes Discrimination. See it at The Geddes Lounge off King St in the city.

Ronny Chieng has added two extra editions of You Don’t Know What You’re Talking About. Saturday April 18 at 6pm, and Sunday April 19 at 4.30pm. Both of those at the Melbourne Town Hall.

Nazeem Hussain’s Legally Brown has an extra Saturday April 18, 9.15pm at the Melbourne Town Hall.
Denise Scott adds a late edition on Sunday April 12. 8.15pm at Hamer Hall.
Jason Byrne has a late night edition of 20 Years A Clown, 11pm on Saturday April 18 at the Forum.
The Doug Anthony All Stars have added a show Thursday April 9, 8.30pm at the Yarraville Club.

FAMILY: Plenty of family comedy on hand for this Good Friday: The (very) Big Laugh Out hosts four big editions to celebrate Good Friday. At the City Square Pitch it’s Kano Mami at 12.30pm, Mr Moriyasu at 1.30pm, and Jessica Arpin at 3pm. Then at 5.30pm at the Federation Square Main Stage, see Peter & Bambi Heaven, Mr MoriyasuJessica ArpinONGALS and Kano Mami. All of these are free.

At 10.30am, Sabrina D’Angelo’s show Zen the Pigeon Girl takes off from the Northcote Town Hall

At 11am, Madeleine Culp & Shane Matheson show us some Dinosaur Guts. Melbourne Town Hall. Also at the Town Hall: Harley Breen & Heath Franklin in Captain Fun Pants and the Mystery of the Fun-o-Matic Fun Wand and Trash Test Dummies. Over at The Spiegelent, it’s Dr Brown Brown Brown Brown Brown and His Singing Tiger…Again!, also at 11am.
Matty Grey Age-Less 3: Dreamweaver vs The Nightmare Child runs at the Northcote Town Hall from 11:30.
At 12.15pm at the Town Hall, choose between Impromptunes: Tune Your Own Adventure, Jon Bennett’s family edition of It’s Rabbit Night!!!, or Showko with Ninja Ken & Sushi Monster.
At 12.30pm, Comedy Club for Kids returns to The Spiegeltent at the Melbourne Arts Centre.
Improvilicious: The Improvised Guide to High School holds court at the Melbourne Town Hall from 1.30pm. Also at1.30pm – Josh Earl in My Family’s Weirder Than Your Family.
At 2pm choose between Alex and Luke’s Make Your Parents Disappear at The Famous Spiegeltent or Mr Snot Bottom and The Curse Of The Stinky Silly Zombie Babies at the Melbourne Town Hall.
And ONGALS present their Babbling Comedy, 7pm at The Famous Spiegeltent.

LATE NIGHT: In late night news Jameson Festival Club is back in Comedy Bonanza mode this Friday night – Lawrence Mooney hosts guests Dr Professor Neal PortenzaNikki BrittonGordon SouthernMilton Jones and Max & Ivan. After the comedy is a performance from Geraldine Quinn’s Spandex Ballet with the 2015 theme of Ponce Rock! Geraldine and band will be joined by festival guests Oliver Clark, Michelle Braiser of Backwards AnorakAli McGregorSteven ‘Gateso’ GatesAdam RichardRebecca de Unamuno, and Aunty Donna. Get down to the Hi-Fi Bar tonight, doors open 11.15pm.

Jason Byrne (Ireland), Adam Hills (Australia), and Katherine Ryan (Canada) compete in the first MICF edition of Mark Watson’s Comedywealth Games. 10.45pm at the Forum.

The Comedy Confessional makes it’s four night only return this evening. 11pm at the Tuxedo Cat.
