The Pleasure Garden enters administration

Words by Caleb Triscari

Documentation from the corporate watchdog has revealed the company responsible for St Kilda’s Pleasure Garden has entered administration.

The company, Pleasure Garden Touring Pty Ltd., appointed an administrator, Wild Apricot, on Thursday May 16, according to a notice published by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.

The day festival was scheduled to run this year on Saturday December 7. Tickets for the 2019 event were available to buy according to the Facebook event. However, the Oztix page indicates tickets are currently unavailable to purchase.

Last year’s Pleasure Garden lineup included The Temper Trap, Confidence Man, Sampa The Great and Northeast Party House.

The Pleasure Garden has been contacted for comment. Wild Apricot declined to comment at this time.
