The American sensation chooses The Grammy’s over Australia.
Following a hazy fortnight for acts set to play Australian festivals, Good Vibrations has fallen victim with Janelle Monae the next casualty to not be making the journey down under.
In a statement released by Jam Music, it appears that performing at the Grammy’s has taken priority over her debut pilgrimage to Australia:
"On behalf of Jam Music, we can confirm that Janelle Monáe has just been added to the line up to perform at the Grammy awards on February 13th. This last minute announcement from the Recording Academy unfortunately means that Janelle Monáe will no longer be able to appear at the 2011 Good Vibrations Festival as planned."
Unfortunate, huh? On the bright side Good Vibrations still has acts such as Faithless, Phoenix, Nas, Ludacris, Erykah Badu and more still confirmed to come! It all goes down at the Flemington Racecourse on Sunday February 13.
