The competition, as part of a National initiative to focus on the importance of Australian contemporary live music, calls for filmmakers and musicians to collaborate on a 60-second film that is centred around one of the following themes:

  • Imagine life without live Australian music
  • What I love about live Australian music
  • What live Australian music means to me

The top ten finalists will be screened at St Kilda Film Festival’s SoundKilda event, with the winner and runner-ups taking out some very enticing prizes.

For taking out the top spot you’ll be dealt $1,000 cash (for filmmakers), an annual Palace Cinemas VIP Movie Club Membership (valued at $3,000), and a $20,000 Moshtix marketing package (for musicians).

Runner-up prizes include $1,000 cash for filmmakers and up to five Sensaphonics Acoustic Earplugs valued at $1,600 (for musicians).

The top ten finalists will also have the opportunity to be selected for screening at the 2017 National Live Music Awards.
