The Ethiopian-born and now London based musician is often hailed as the godfather of Ethio-jazz. His career has seen him play all over the globe, and, next month he will grace our shores as part of the Melbourne International Jazz Festival.
Playing alongside his full band, The Black Jesus Experience, Astake will launch his latest release, Cradle of Humanity, at the in-store gig. Vinyl copies of the record will be available, in the first opportunity for punters to snag a copy.
