The projection of women rights by Amnesty International’s Victoria Women’s team at Melbourne’s Cinema Nova in November will bring stories from all around the world in order to evoke action and change. The festival featuring Pray The Devil Back to Hell following the courageous women’s peace movement and Australian produced and directed My Tehran for Sale recently controversial at sight of the film’s leading actress’s sentencing for the films criticism of the Iranian government is amongst the five feature films exploring issues and obvious dangers and discrimination imposed on females around the world. Fighting against the oppression and significant political and social barriers the event takes place within the internationally celebrated 16 Days of Activism from Friday November 25 – Saturday December 10.
